The DX7 Evolved
The new Spektrum DX7 comes with the features you would normally see in a pre-class transmiter. This includes a built-in telemetry feature that, when used with a Spektrum telemetry module and sensors (sold separately) gives you real-time information such as your model’s battery voltage, signal quality, engine or motor temperature, airspeed and altitude. This telemetry system works in conjunction with the transmitter’s programmable voice alerts that allows you to keep tabs on important functions without taking your eyes off your flying. You can program voice alerts to call out the flight mode you have chosen and report telemetry information. For example, the alerts can notify you when specific telemetry values reach or exceed the limits you define. You can also have the DX7 call out a sequence of telemetry values on demand with the touch of a switch. This telemetry data can also be recorded on the SD card for review. If an alarm goes off, you will not have to look at your transmitter to see what is going on. The radio will tell you!
The new DX7 also features a wireless trainer link, which gives instructors the opportunity to wirelessly “buddy box” with another DSM2/DSMX transmitter. Once this binding has occurred, ModelMatch technology will allow you to relink the DX7 without having to go through the bind process again. This Spektrum transmitter comes with a huge 250 model memory. To complement this, the memory menu is easy to navigate, whereby only memory slots with model settings saved to them will appear. Because the DX7 uses the same software platform as the DX6, 9 and 18 (Gen 2) transmitters, you can easily share model setups with these transmitters too. This radio includes a full-range AR8000 receiver is compatible with the Spektrum Flight Log and telemetry modules. The new DX7 is a fantastic transmitter that offers features beyond its level.
